Static Dry Filter Spray Booths
There are two main families of spray booths from Masterflo: static (also known as rigid or fixed) and retractable. The static ones are built from sturdy 1.2mm galvanised steel sheets and are designed and built to your required dimensions. Lighting and dry filter extract plenums are included, according to your needs and preferences. View Static Dry Filter Spray Booths.
Retractable Spray Booths
Masterflo is the market leader in space-saving retractable spray booths. The simple folding framework design, coupled with a high-performance fire-retardant PVC outer, produces a lightweight but strong spray booth, which can easily collapse to a very small size. There are three main versions:
- Modular Retractable
- SMART Repair
- Portable Retractable
Modular Retractable
These use the classic Masterflo retractable system and are built of modules, to almost any width and height. Modules are added together to produce any required length, and they can be fitted with folding doors and lighting as required. They are primarily used internally, and offer a professional spray booth facility that can be quickly collapsed to a small footprint when not in use. View the Modular Retractable Booth.
SMART Repair Booths
These are an off-the-shelf version of the classic Masterflo Modular Retractable spray booth. They are available in two main types: external and internal.
External SMART repair booths
Two popular sizes, for cars or for vans. They include windows to maximise the advantage of natural daylight and are complete with a roll-up ground sheet and drive-on rubber matting. View External SMART repair booths.
Internal SMART repair booths
Again, there are two popular sizes for cars or vans. As they do not need to stand up to the elements, they can be built with a more lightweight design and utilise semi-transparent skin to let in ambient lighting. They can also be fitted with additional lighting kits. View Internal SMART repair booths.
Portable Retractable Spray Booths – Rola-Reflex
A smaller, lightweight version of the classic Modular Retractable booth, the Rola Reflex spray booth is a truly portable spray tent that can be taken from site to site. It can be used as a covered area for many kinds of tasks and is designed to be coupled to the mobile extract unit if extract is required. It is available in internal or external versions and is made to measure.
Extract Plenums
A spray booth consists of the work area and a plenum. The plenum contains the extract fans and a filter to catch the paint overspray. Masterflo can survey, design, manufacture and install plenums to suit your specific requirements. Our extract engineers will discuss your needs in detail, but briefly, there are two main types: dry filter and water wash.
Dry Filter Extract
This is our most common extract method, and the filter consists of a filter media that is easily replaced. As paint residue builds up on the filter, the airflow will start to reduce, and at that point, the filter media is replaced. A simple gauge is used to monitor airflow at the filter face. Water Wash Extract
Although, in most cases, a modern dry filter booth outperforms water wash filter booths, some customers still prefer this option, particularly in the powder-coating and stone-cutting industries. This uses a curtain of recirculating water on a stainless steel wall to filter the extracted air. The water is recirculated and accumulates the overspray or dust. Regularly, the water is changed, and the soiled water is disposed of appropriately and environmentally safely. This will probably involve a licenced waste carrier. View Water Wash spray booths.
Health & Safety Compliance
Compliance with all relevant regulations is one of the key benefits of Masterflo spray booths. Designed to meet or exceed air flow rates stipulated by law, and utilising compliant flame-retardant materials, we understand what is required for you to comply with the tight requirements of spraying and flammable liquid use in the UK.
